In the late Seventies, I apparently had a bit of a conflict of interest. That’s the trouble with being open-minded about your music of choice. Seems some tribes don’t like you being involved with another, and on several occasions I was chased through the streets Glasgow by either punks or Teds, depending on what style of clothing I was wearing.
No wonder I was a semi-decent athlete – all those extra, impromptu training sessions!
I’ve gone here with two of my favourites of the time – indeed they still are.
Above, Crazy Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers were just such an incendiary live act. But more than that, they managed somehow to bring that same aggression and atmosphere to their recordings.
