LOUD HORIZON has been around in various forms since 2006.

I set the blog up initially to review new music. At the time, I was writing for Artrocker Magazine. The two roles dovetailed very well and several bands initially featured on the site would go on to attract more mainstream attention and critical acclaim.

These days, I listen to a lot of more obscure bands from times past.

The blog’s principal aim this time around then, is to focus on those underplayed, underpaid and underrated bands of the ’60s & ’70s – bands and artists whose sounds can still be heard from over the horizon, (if you listen hard enough) long after they disappeared over it!

Pretty niche, huh?
